fall in love (art)

Affordable: this is the spirit of Affordable Art Fair, the exhibition established in London in 1999 and conceived by Will Ramsay.
A successful event that these days is held in fifteen cities around the world and that has attracted over two million visitors. The artwork is on display at the Superstudio Più salon in Milan, from February 10 to 12 within an informal setting to make the viewers feel at ease and not in awe of the artistic expression. Fall in Art is the title of the seventh edition.
Paintings, sculptures and photographs not exceeding a price tag of six thousand Euros each.
Director Manuela Porcu, with this exhibition, aims at putting in contact buyers and galleries – eighty-five of them, in Italy and abroad.
Young emerging authors will be showcased in the Young Talents category that will gather in the Quando, quando, quando section the works selected by three debuting curators hailing from the curator school Campo of the Fondazione Sandretto Re Baudengo.
Established names from contemporary art will be also present including Michelangelo Pistoletto, Enrico Castellani, Ugo Nespolo, Piero Gilardi, Giosetta Fioroni and Altan.
Milano Contemporary will present a number of galleries in town that are focused on contemporary art and on new talents.
The art fair will also provide ‘tactile visits’ –sensorial experiences that engage all the five senses, as well as workshops under the guidance of artists Urbansolid and Tomoko Nagao.
The opening party of FALL IN ART, in collaboration with Warsteiner Beer, the fair’s main Partner, will host live performances in an urban setting with a New York club vibe and with a DJ set by GOMMAGE DJ TEAM – composed of Claudio Fagnani (Elita) and DJ Kramer, and Fabrizio Mammarella, known for his style blending electronic disco, house, dub and psychedelic proto-house.
Warsteiner Art Battle: a challenge involving emerging artists like street artist Noba, who interacts with the city spaces and its dynamics, that express themselves on various surfaces and through endless choices of materials. Launched last year and resulting from the collaboration between Warsteiner Beer and Affordable Art Fair, the challenge was highly acclaimed by the public. Last year winner, Vast, a street artist from the La Reunion island in the Indian Ocean triumphed with a canvas that today is part of Warsteiner’s private contemporary art collection.
This year the winner will be named by the German beer brand, Manuela Porcu and the Art of Sool collective.
