Philosophy: Surpass the brief
What’s your favourite time of the day or the year, and why?
«My favourite time of the day is the morning time. Once I finished my exercise for the day I sit down with a cup of coffee and unroll my creative journey for the day. This to me is a very exciting time as you get to plan and embark on the conceptual and inspirational path for the days projects».
What are your main visual inspirations?
«I am inspired everyday by so many things around me. If it’s not a nice new colour palette I discovered, its a beautiful piece of illustration from some illustrator I admire, it’s the weather or a piece of music I have been listening to».
Does music have an impact on your art, and how?
«Music definitely has an impact on my work. For the simple reason that it defines my mood. Whether the song has put me in a good or bad mood, then that will reflect on the artwork I am working on at the time. Plus music is so helpful for taking you on that visual journey».
Name three things in your childhood that made you the artist you are now.
«Encouragement, everyone always bought me arty gifts and love».
What’s your favourite mood, and why?
«Happy of course, its contagious and it makes the world a much better place to be».
Do you have a muse? Not necessarily a person.
«I think my muse is all around me. My muse is inspiration. It’s what makes me passionate. Passionate about what I do and how I apply myself everyday to create the best work that I can».
What is your worst fear, and does it show in your art?
«My worst fear would probably be losing the ones really close to you. I guess this is subconsciously connected in my work. I reflect love, togetherness and human connection quite often in my work».
Three fashion designers you’d love to work with.
«Not sure this is quite related to me?»
Social networks: things you love, things you hate.
«I love the sense of community that they bring. How we can share our work, how its out there for every one to enjoy. I dislike the darker side, the people who regularly steal others content and I dislike how much time they consume from our lives».
