Mirror, mirror. Just to quote a tale known by everybody. But not only one, we are talking about eighty-thousand pieces of mirror. Futuristic location, sometimes rebel, the setting of new Dior’s womenswear spring-summer 2018 collection which cites Niki de Saint Phalle’ s works and looks as an icon with a mood ranging from the Sixties to the Seventies, amidst bold stripes, over-decorated knitwear, sports accents and dresses embroidered like mirrors mosaics, to stick to the point. In this way, designer Maria Grazia Chiurihas continued her feminist exploration, winking at bohemian feelings into a majestic cave measuring ninety metres in length and fifteen metres in height. It was built by more than eighty people in twenty days. Seven tons of covered cement and three-hundred cubic metres of Styrofoam. A magnificent work which has enriched the streets in Paris for one day. And which, like all the beautiful things, will just be a memory.
