When thinking about Hermès, the color you have in mind is orange – a tale of horses and saddles, of carriages and carrées, that dates back to 1837. It’s the turn of rouge – a deep red bordering on bordeaux. The French Maison presents his sixteen specialization – la Beauté –, with the first collection dedicated to the beauty of lips: Rouge Hermès. The project started more than five years ago, under the direction of the Hermès Parfum & Beauté CEO Agnès de Villers, with the collaboration of Pierre-Alexis Dumas, Hermès Creative Director.

The Rouge Hermès has been designed by Pierre Hardy, Creative Director of fine jewellery and footwear. Created from noble materials – lacquered, brushed, polished, black, white or gold permabrass metal, assembled by hand, the lipsticks are rechargeable. Rouge: the female touch arrived from Bali Barret, Creative Director of Hermès’ women’s universe. Jérôme Touron – Creative Director Beauté Hermès – supported all with his expertise in the field of make-up. In the end, the lipstick has a signature scent custom-blended by Christine Nagel, the nose behind Hermès fragrances.

With 24 shades inspired by the craft of silk, with the richness of its color archive (75,000 shades), and leather (900 shades), the line is accompanied, every year, by two collections of three new shades, in a limited edition. Complementary items: moisturizing and smoothing lip balm, Poppy bright lipstick, universal lip pencil, lacquered wood lip brush – and a collection of Madame calfskin accessories: two cases and moon-shaped mirror with drawstring.
